NEW UPDATE ON CASE # 07-001
The investigation in Auburn, Ga has taken a strange twist. The information I am about to reveal to
you may sound a little farfetched and hard to believe, but the findings in this update are real and very shocking. I feel
compelled to let you know what has taken place on this property. After the May 5th investigation a evp was discovered of a
little girl's presents in the home. The evp was placed on the site in the Audio page. The evp is listed as "Go Check
the Well." The family that rent the home after hearing this evp started to get concerned about the old well on the property.
They also told me that the activity had started to increase in the home. On several occasions they had been awoke in the middle
of the night to a tugging on their bed covers.
The family stated
they would like a medium to come to the home and try and confirm some of the activity. I was also asked to be present
at the time, to record the reading on video and audio to try see if I was able to pick up anything.The mediums came to the
house on 6-27-07. The medium's were told only that there were strange occurrences taking place in the home. During
the reading, one of the mediums picked up on an energy of a presents in the hallway leading from the kitchen next to the bathroom
and a door leading into the living room. This area is the exact location were on 5-5-07. I picked up the EMF spike and
the evp of "He's found us.".
During the reading the families 19 month
old son grab one of the mediums by the hand and lead her to the back of the hallway. The two mediums picked up on a little
girl around the age of eight that they claimed occupied the space. They stated that she had experienced a tragic
event of seeing her grandfather murdered. They stated that she was pointing to the outside of the house. I asked them if they
were able to tell the name of this little girl. One stated that she heard the name "Darla" and
the last name of the girl was possibly "Washington".
As the reading
continued the older one stated that the little girl lived in the 1880's and that she was alone with her grandfather at the
time of the event. She said that her parents were gone to the market at the time of the event. In the hallway during this
reading it was dark and I was filming in night vision. The hallway had a heavy feeling that I had felt on earlier investigations
and several light anomalies appeared on the video during the reading. After reviewing the audio on my recorder. I detected
a little girls voice it was faint but responding to our questions with the answers that the mediums were giving us.
We all then went out the back door onto the porch. The medium picked up on a male presents that was
outside. I asked her for a name and she told me she heard "Henry Higgins" and that he lived on the property in the
1870's. I later looked into the name and found that a Henry Higgins did exist and lived in the area in the 1860's.
We then went back into the house and lead them to the spare bedroom that for some reason is always
10 to 15 degrees cooler than the rest of the house. On the first investigation in March a strange orb was filmed leaving this
room. It moved towards the camera in the kitchen only to turn and enter the living room. The Medium picked up on Native
American spirits in this room and stated she kept feeling something below the floor. The family told her that across the street
in the woods were the remains of an Indian burial ground and a small cave with drawings inside. After reviewing the audio
recordings of that room a strange males voice was detected speaking a language that I have never heard before.
From there we went into the living room both mediums picked up on an area in the center of the room.
They explained it as a feeling of being drawn down into the floor as if there was a type of drain there. This is the
same room where the disembodied voices and music is heard late at night. Also allot of strange light anomalies have been picked
up on video in that room along with cool breezes being felt by myself and my investigators.
From
there we lead the two outside and walked them around towards the location of the well. The younger medium was suddenly drawn
to the well house and asked what this building was for. I told her that it was the old well house. She went to open the door.
When the older medium began to feel something. As the door was opened by the first medium, the second crossed her arms and
backed away saying that she did not like the feeling she was getting from the well. When the door was opened fully by the
first, a strange smell came out. Know note I opened the well myself a little over a week before to do the evp work and I did
not recall any strange smells coming from within the house. Both mediums and myself smelt it, but the family did not smell
what the three of us smelt. It was a rotten oder that is hard to put into words. The only way I can explain
it was that it really stunk and made you feel sick to your stomach.
When this
happened the older medium stated "Oh someone has died in there." and the younger medium stated that she felt a presents
in the well. The older medium stated that she felt the feeling of being gagged and bound. At this time I felt a little strange
due to the evp's that I had picked up about the well and know both mediums that knew nothing about those findings picked up
on something related to the well.
On 6/30/07 a third investigation was set up
with the family, the family spoke to me about opening the well. I had planned to wait and open the well during the
investigation, but the family asked if we could open the well before we started that night. At around eight o'clock we
opened up the well house, no strange smells came out of the house on that day. I had a underwater camera that was portable,
with night vision. This camera could be lowered to a depth of 65 feet. The well was covered with a heavy concrete slab with
the pump hoses running down threw the center of the slab.
We were able to slide
the slab back just enough to slip the camera down into the well. The well was about 35 feet deep and only around 6 to 8 inches
of water at the bottom. A light was shined down the well and with the naked eye you could tell that there was some sort of
foreign matter at the bottom. As my camera made it to the water, what we saw on the little black and white monitor shocked
us. It appeared to look like a face looking back at the camera. From the top of the well looking down you could see whatever
it was at the bottom and my camera was only able to penetrate the water on one half of the well.
On top of the water was a piece of cloth that could be seen from the top. The husband made a makeshift
hook on a fishing pole and after several attempts the cloth was retrieved. It was about 20 inches long and 3 inches wide with
a piece of lace along the edges. Several of my investigators stated it looked like a old type of hair bow that you would use
to tie up a child’s hair. I placed the cloth in a bag for safe keeping. There also was a stick like object leaning against
the wall. By this time it was approaching 10 p.m. and was very dark. I asked the family if they wanted to contact the
Sheriff’s Dept. and the Land owner. The husband stated that he wanted to wait till the next day and try and retrieve
the stick like object first and verify more of what we were looking at before we jumped the gun and called the Sheriff.
We placed our night vision cameras. We conducted evp’s in the house, on
the back porch and out by the well. During the investigation at around 1:45 a.m. Myself and Shaun were sitting at our
command center labeling the next round of video tapes. When a plastic chair about two and half feet away from us moved about
a half an inch. We both saw the chair move and quickly looked at each other in surprise. I had not placed any cameras out
at the command center to record. I turned on a digital recorder and started to ask questions. I then tested the chair by sitting
down in it and got no movement. It was when I stood up the chair moved about a half an inch. Something had been sitting
with us and got up.
We placed trigger objects on a small table in the back hall
were the little girls present is mainly felt. We placed them so we would be able to tell if they moved and I left a digital
recorder running. We then went out to see if we had placed the camera close enough to the objects. The time it took use to
check the monitor and then return to set the camera closer was only about two minutes, but when we returned to the hall to
move the objects closer to the camera the baby doll had been moved. I asked a question to the little girl asking if she had
moved the doll. After reviewing the recording I picked up a voice saying “I sled the baby.” We moved the objects
closer to the camera but was unable to get movement out of them the rest of the night.
The
next day I returned to the home. The stick object was hooked and we were able to raise it up three quarters the way up the
well. It looked like an old style crutch and when we thought we had it up it fell off and back down in the well. I told the
family that it might be a good idea to contact their landlord about the well and see if he wanted to have the Sheriff’s
office come out. I told them not to tell him what we had seen or thought was down there, just say we found something strange
and would like for him to come over and look.
This is were every thing went wrong
and now looking back I wish I had contacted the Sheriffs office first. I was on my cell phone with my wife explaining to her
that something was in the well and that I would be late getting home. When the landlord came speeding into the driveway. The
first words out of his mouth were not what I had expected. He started yelling to me, “GET OFF THAT PHONE RIGHT KNOW!!!!”
I told my wife I would call her back and hung up. I tried to introduce myself to him with an out stretched hand. He started
yelling, “ I don’t care who you are! You had no business opening that well!! Theirs no body at the bottom of that
well!! That well has been sealed for forty years and theirs nothing down there!!!”
His wife was also yelling, “There’s no such thing as ghosts! When your dead your dead! There’s
no body at the bottom of the well!!” Both of them were acting strangely as if they knew something or did not want something
to be known. The thing that made me feel that they really knew something was when I pulled out the piece of cloth that had
been removed. I asked the landlord “ If this well has been sealed as long as you say it has, then explain to me how
this got in the bottom?” and I showed him the plastic bag with the cloth inside. What happened next really shocked me.
He quickly reached out and tried to take the bag from my hand yelling, “That’s mine, it belongs to me!! You have
no right being here!!”
I refused to give it to him. I told him that
this could be evidence and that something was in the bottom of this well. That was when his family started showing
up. His two sons, one of which is a Winder City Police officer and his wife that claimed she worked for Winder police also
in the CSI (Crime Scene Investigator) The police officer asked to see the bag and I gave it to him. Him and his wife both
looked at it and said it looked like the bottom of a curtain. He gave the piece of cloth to his mother, then left. The
landlord threaten to call the Sheriff and have me arrested. The husband of the family told the landlord that something was
in that well and the Sheriff needed to be called, the landlord told him that theirs nothing down there and that we were all
crazy.
I was told by the landlord not to return to his property. He also
told the family that he would have someone come out and clean the well out to prove that there was nothing in the well. The
landlord boarded up the well house. The family contacted the Sheriff’s office and made a report. I also gave them a
statement on what I had seen and how the landlord had reacted. I told the Deputy that the landlord had taken the piece of
cloth. The Deputy spoke with the landlord and the landlord opened the well for the deputy to look down in it with his flashlight. The
Deputy told me, the family and the landlord to not go in the well until an investigator contacted us about it. I asked
him if he had been able to retrieve the cloth and he told me he had it and it was to be turned in as evidence.
On July 7th of 2007, I received a call from the family that the landlord had come to the
property with about six men and some type of machine to drain a well at around 8:30 a.m. that morning. The husband was not
allowed outside. After they finished the landlord came and asked the husband look at what they had found. He reminded the
landlord about the Deputies order to not enter the well. He said, that the landlord stated he did not care what
they had said, He was shown a pile of mud and 5 five gallon buckets full of muddy water. I asked the husband did he call
the Sheriff’s office and he said "no" and I asked him why and at the time he stated he was worried about
being evicted. I was told that the landlord returned to the property with an eviction notice later that day and told
the family to “Let it go, and leave it alone, I want you out of my house.”
After
this I thought it would be best if I made the call so on July 9th I made contact with an investigator
about the case. I met with him and explained the entire event. I told him about the piece of cloth and that the deputy said
he had it. Three days later I was told that the case was going to be closed due to no physical evidence.
The piece of cloth that was retrieved from the well never made it into evidence. I know what I saw and as an investigator
I believe that someone is trying to cover this up.
